Pray For Everyone And Everything

I think if everyone in this big world started saying a prayer for everyone and everything maybe things would change. It does not matter where you are when you pray. Some people believe that they should only pray in church. That is their choice and we should respect that. I think you should pray especially if all of the sudden you feel a need to. I believe that may be God saying it's time to pray. As a child I was always taught to pray in church, at meals and before bedtime. Since I have gotten older I pray where ever I am. Also no one is more important than anyone else, so start praying.
A lot of people will say this is the proper way to pray and then others try to make it a routine. First I believe what Jesus said when he told the people how to pray. He basically taught the people to pray the Our Father.

The Lord's Prayer

(Matthew 6:5-15)

1AND it came to pass, that as he was in a certain place praying, when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him: Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

2And he said to them: When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.

3Give us this day our daily bread.

4And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.

Is God is About to Punish the World

Yes once again every time I look at facebook there is another post on either something to do with the End Times, Apocalypse, Rapture or something that is pointing to Jesus coming back very soon. Well with all the terrible things I have seen going on in other parts of the world or right in the united states I believe that yes Jesus is getting closer and closer to coming back. Do I know when or does anyone else know when. Well the answer to that is no, I don't know and neither does anyone else. The only one who knows is the Father, not the Son or the Angels or Saints.

Is Jesus Christ The Man On The Shroud Of Turin

There is always a big debate on who the person is decapitated on the Shroud Of Turin. I have seen various documentaries on cable television over the years. Some thought he was a knight and others thought he was from some foreign country. They various tests over the years with carbon dating to determine when the shroud was made. I remember they determined it was made somewhere around 1290 to 1390 in the Middle Ages. Lately though they thought that due to the tests done on the parts of the cloth that were burned, it may have altered the date. Tests were redone on different areas of the cloth and it actually fit the time frame of Jesus. Here is a link to a Wikipedia page about the Shroud Of Turin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shroud_of_Turin .

Jesus Pictures

Shroud Of Turin Face Of Jesus
I believe almost every Catholic and Protestant family have pictures of Jesus in their home. I know my family and friends have various Jesus pictures. I was always trying to find the earliest pictures of Jesus that I could find. I guess like many others I just wanted to know what Jesus actually looked like. Many different cultures have Pictures Of Jesus that look different due to their culture. The way I see it it really doesn't matter what Jesus looked like. What matters is that we know who Jesus is and what Jesus did for all of us.

What Did Jesus Say About The Eucharist

THE LAST SUPPER

I have always been taught growing up that Jesus said that the bread or Eucharist is his body. He also said that the wine was his blood. I did spend some time in the Pentecostal Church where they simply believe the the bread and wine are just a symbol of his body and blood. Then later on when my wife and I left the Pentecostal Church we ended up in the Lutheran Church. Once again they believed that the wine and bread were just a symbol and not Jesus actual body and blood. This was actually the turning point that brought me back to the Catholic Church. I did a lot of reading to find out exactly what Jesus said about the wine and bread. I saw various shows on EWTN especially the Journey Home. That's where I learned about the word Transubstantiation and what it meant.
