Open Marriage An Abomination To God

Well this year has been a very sad year. We lost of lovable Wilson a Golden Retriever at 10 1/2 years old to cancer and had to have him put down. Now the next big explosion is that my oldest daughter let us know that she and her husband are getting divorced. She is telling me that he has told her he wants an open marriage. What is this a license to fool around with whomever you choose. I am sure she is making the right decision to divorce him and move on with her life. Besides this he wants to smoke his pot and God knows what else. All I can do is pray for him and that is exactly what I have done.
It's just strange that a couple of years ago my wife told me that my that my own sister and husband wanted to involve her in their open marriage. It was at that point that I told my sister that I wanted nothing further to do with her and that she was no longer welcome in my house. I had also found out some things that were going on in my family and what her husband had been doing with my mother who was in her late 70s at the time. I can tell you I was truly disgusted with all of everything that was going on.
If it was making me feel so sick what must it make God feel.

                                            Hebrews 13:4
yLet marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge zthe sexually immoral and adulterous.

                                           1st Corinthians 6:13

13 d“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one eand the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but ffor the Lord, and gthe Lord for the body.

                                            The Sixth Commandment
  1. Adultery is the sexual union of a man and woman where at least one is married to someone else. It is for this reason that the Church considers it a greater sin than fornication.[107] Kreeft states, "The adulterer sins against his spouse, his society, and his children as well as his own body and soul."[122]

Information from Wikipedia
The ninth and tenth commandments deal with coveting, which is an interior disposition not a physical act.[149] The Catechism distinguishes between covetousness of the flesh (improper sexual desire) and covetousness for another's worldly goods. The ninth commandment deals with the former and the tenth the latter.[147]
Jesus emphasized the need for pure thoughts as well as actions, and stated, "Everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matthew 5:28).[149][150] The Catechism states that, with the help of God's grace, men and women are required to overcome lust and bodily desires "for sinful relationships with another person's spouse."[149] In Theology of the Body, a series of lectures given by Pope John Paul II, Jesus' statement in Matthew 5:28 is interpreted that one can commit adultery in the heart not only with another's spouse, but also with his/her own spouse if one looks at him/her lustfully or treats him/her "only as an object to satisfy instinct".[151][152]
Purity of heart is suggested as the necessary quality needed to accomplish this task; common Catholic prayers and hymns include a request for this virtue.[149] The Church identifies gifts of God that help a person maintain purity:
  1. Chastity, which enables people to love others with upright and undivided hearts.
  2. Purity of intention, which seeks to fulfill God's will in everything, knowing that it alone will lead to the true end of man.
  3. Purity of vision, "external and internal", disciplining the thoughts and imagination to reject those that are impure.
  4. Prayer that recognizes the power of God to grant a person the ability to overcome sexual desires.
  5. Modesty, of the feelings as well as the body is discreet in choice of words and clothing.[146][149]
Jesus stated, "Blessed are the clean of heart, for they shall see God."[153][154] This purity of heart, which the ninth commandment introduces, is the "precondition of the vision of God" and allows the person to see situations and people as God sees. The Catechism teaches that "there is a connection between purity of heart, of body and of faith."[146][154]

It All Started With God, Adam and Eve

When I look around the news today all I see is people looking at how different we all are. Then you get the person judging the other because they believe something different then you do. Well if you took a look at the big picture you would find out we are all related. Basically what I mean is we are all children of God The Father.
If you take a look way back in history you would find out that we all started with two people. One man and one woman to be exact. Yes I am talking about Adam and Eve. God made Adam out of the clay of the earth and blew life into his nostrils. Then he took a rib from Adam and Created Eve to be his wife. Now from these two people we have all the generations from then until now. So as you can see we are all related by two people in the beginning.
So when it comes down to it we are all brothers and sisters, cousins, uncles and Aunts . So yes we all have one heavenly father. So when you are hurting some one else you are hurting a very distant brother or sister. Do you seriously think your heavenly father would want you to hurt your family member. I know as a father myself I hate it when one of my children hurts the other. I know I have always had them apologize to one another and make things right.
I think it we all stopped and took a long look at each other we would find we have more in common then we know. Most of us believe in the beginning with God,Adam and Eve in the garden. We all believe that God is the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. We all believe that Jesus was a Prophet as well as many other things. Yes there are some differences and we need to stop hurting one another and start loving one another as Jesus taught.
We need to stop judging and let God Be The Judge.

Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged

You know I remember a time when I was in the Assembly Of God Church and that is what I was doing. I was consistently judging everyone and everything. It also as if I forgot that all good things come from God. The change came when I judged my own mother and said she was going to Hell, because she did not say the little prayer and accept Jesus as her personal Savior. At that moment it hit me that wait a minute she believed the same things about Jesus that I did.
Yes I stepped back and took a long hard look at where I was at in my faith journey. I realized that what I had been doing was not what Jesus taught. My wife and I made a decision to leave that church and find the place where we belonged. We went to numerous churches and ended up in the Lutheran Church. We spent quite a few years there as our children were growing up. I did make a decision once again that was associated with the Eucharist and ended up coming back to the Catholic Church.
I do have family members in the Assembly Of God Churches and they do the same things that I was doing. They do not realize it at this time and continue to try and convert anyone to their faith. All I can really do is answer questions when possible and recommend various books to read. I do share various videos and things on facebook, but all I can do is pray for them.

What Do You Do When Your Catholic

I thought I would share this from one of my blogs as I thought it may help someone in some way.
I am Catholic and was raised in the Catholic Church. There was a time when I was young and did not think too much about church. I met my wife and ended up in the Assembly Of God Pentecostal Church. I spent a few years there and then decided to leave do to personal feelings associated with judging others just because they were not in this particular church or had no recited a little prayer accepting Jesus as my personal Savior.
After time we ended up in the Lutheran Church. It had similarities to the Catholic Church and to the Protestant Church. This attracted both my wife and I. We raised our three children in the church when they were young and enjoyed our time there. There came a day when the Pastor was giving communion and he said something that caught my attention. Basically he used the word symbol and I knew that the host was more than just a symbol. This set me on my journey to determine where I should be.
You see I wanted to know if it was okay to be in various churches. I did not want to read books just written by anyone, because I would get their view. I decided to search through history to see where it would lead me. Well it seemed to always come back to the Catholic Church. I asked my mother to pick up any books on religion at garage sales. She brought me a bunch of books and one in particular caught my attention.
The book was called 30 years with Christ. As I read through it I came across a page where the author made an interesting statement. She said basically that there are so many different denominations someone has to be right and someone has to be wrong. She made a point of how various churches will say something different about the same subject. She said this can't be true, because the Holy Spirit can not be telling everyone something different. The Holy Spirit speaks the truth and is the mouthpiece of God. So he either does not know the truth or is confused, we know this can not be true.
So I set out to find out who was doing what in the early churches. I found books on the Early Church Fathers. These were men that some were directly associated with some of the Apostles. I knew they had to have been doing what Jesus taught them. Well the only church that was doing these things was the Catholic Church. I then happened to watch EWTN by chance and the person was a convert to the Catholic Church due to the Eucharist. I now knew after praying that I had to return to the Catholic Church.
Yes I came back to the Catholic Church and have never left. I told my wife I could not tell her what to do. She started praying and decided to become Catholic. Also all of my children became Catholic as well. In fact my oldest  daughter was married in the Catholic Church. My advise to anyone is to pray and ask for guidance. You will be amazed at what can happen and what you will learn, so buy books written by Catholics and get the correct facts. There is alot of misinformation out there and someone is always trying to destroy the Catholic Church. This will never happen as Jesus said the gates of Hell shall not prevail and this has been proven through many trials and tribulations.

The Problem With Self Interpreting The Bible

I can remember deciding on what church to go with back quite a few years ago. I was brought up in the Catholic Church and then stopped going regularly in my late teens and early twenties. I met my wife and ended up in the Assembly Of God Church until I realized something was wrong when I judged my own mother. I came to the realization that she believed in Jesus and had always believed in Jesus. I knew it was time to leave there and follow my journey to where ever The Holy Spirit would lead me.
Well we went to numerous churches and ended up in the Lutheran Church. It was very nice and the Paster was awesome. It got to a point one day when listening to what they were preaching about communion I knew something was not right. I did alot of searching through history and kept ending up at the Catholic Church. I was trying to understand about holy communion and happened to watch ewtn while channel surfing. The subject that night on the Journey Home was about the Eucharist and how it brought this person back to the Catholic Church. I knew I had to go back to the Catholic Church and that is what I did. My wife did a lot of praying and decided to become Catholic and all my children became Catholic.
Okay so who is interpreting the Bible correctly. I remember remember when I was trying to decide what to do I happened to read a book called 30 years with the Christ. The person made a good point, she said that there are all these different denominations and they claim that the Holy Spirit said different things to them about the same subject. Well basically either the Holy Spirit is lying to people or does not no what he is saying. Well we no that neither of these can be true, due to the Holy Spirit being the mouth piece of God.
So it all comes down to only one can be right and the others are incorrect. So I looked into the Early Church Fathers to see what they were doing. You see I realized that some of them were directly associated with the Apostles. Therefore they had to be doing what the Apostles taught and they were taught by Jesus. One of the main factors was the Eucharist. Was it only meant to be a symbol ? I looked at the response of some of the Apostles that left because they could not accept the teaching of Jesus that this was His Body and His Blood. If it were only a symbol would Jesus not have rebuked them and told them it was a symbol. No he did not do that, so he meant what he said. I am following the True Church, The Catholic Church and I receive the Eucharist, so I will be raised on the last day.
There are many other places in the Bible where individuals misinterpret what the scripture is saying. The problems is that there are millions of people that are being mislead and may never know the truth.

Pray For One Another And Keep Praying

As I check facebook every day I see all my friends and a multitude of people that are asking for everyone to pray for them. I try to make it a point to always say a little prayer. I will pray for anyone no matter what it is. I believe we all started with Adam and Eve, so basically we are all related. We are all children of God Our Father and we need to give him the proper respect and love he deserves. WE should also carry that respect and love to our family and friends as well as people that we do not even know.

                                          LOURDES MESSAGE

The Virgin Mary spoke spoke very little to Bernadette during the apparitions, but her words conveyed innumerable teachings. The immaculate Conception prayed with Bernadette and taught her to pray. The Immaculate Conception spoke six times to Bernadette leaving the spiritual message of Lourdes to the church and the pilgrims, Bernadette was simply a witness and a faithful messenger, so for this reason no one needs to understand the profound meaning of this message, so that Lourdes can be perceived in all greatness.

Prayer

The apparitions began with a prayer and continued with a prayer. Prayers should not consists of selfish personal desires. At Lourdes one experience, God the father of love, gives and forgives, weather worthy or not. Prayers should be about praise, gratitude, trust and joy suffering, serenity, solitude health and illness just like the Lourdes Prayer.

God bestows strength and hope

Suffering

During the 3rd apparition the Immaculate Conception said "I can not promise you happiness in this world only in the next" The famous worlds of the gospel"he who wishes to be my disciple, let him take up the cross and follow me"

The Immaculate Conception tells Bernadette that true happiness cannot be found externally, but only within intimate spirit. Honesty, accepting responsibility, goodness and generosity lead to happiness.

Saint Bernadette said "I am happier on my bed of pain than a queen on her thrown" " To obey is to love, suffering in silence for Christ is joy, to love sincerely is to give everything, above all suffering"

Penitence, Conversion, Purification

Penitence,Penitence,Penitence was addressed when the Virgin Mary spoke to Bernadette, this was not a new word used, as Jesus, used this word during his preaching "if you don't repent you will die in the same way" The Virgin Mary reminds us of this, during the apparition.

When visiting the domain you are encouraged to make changes to your interior life. The Virgin Mary adds "Pray to God for sinners" this is a wonderful message to remember when you make pilgrim to Lourdes or in everyday life.

Pope Benedict XVI message in Lourdes

Pope Benedict XVI in Lourdes, he started his pilgrimage on the 12th of September and celebrates the Lourdes Jubilee along with over 200,000 pilgrims over a 3 day period. Pope Benedict XVI remembered and prayed for countless numbers of people were are victims of poverty and terrorism, he announced and granted the Plenary Indulgence to the pilgrims who visited Lourdes or those who are Venerated (if you have a crucifix at home out of personal devotion, you kiss it, then you have been venerated).

Catholic Prayers

What are some of the popular Catholic Prayers? Where did these Catholic Prayers originate from? Why do we pray these Catholic Prayers? These are just some of the common questions that people ask. As for myself I prefer the Our Father. The Our Father or The Lords Prayer is from the New Testament Matthew Chapter 6, Verse 5 to 13. This also found in Luke Chapter 11. This was when the disciples asked Jesus how to pray. Jesus responded with the our father prayer.
Teaching about Prayer.5“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward.6But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.7* In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words.*8Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

The Lord’s Prayer.9*

“This is how you are to pray:c

Our Father in heaven,*

hallowed be your name,

10your kingdom come,*

your will be done,

on earth as in heaven.d

11* e Give us today our daily bread;

12and forgive us our debts,*

as we forgive our debtors;f

13and do not subject us to the final test,*

but deliver us from the evil one.g

14* If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you.h15But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.i

Below is an excellent explanation of each line in the Our Father Prayer. I found this online and thought I would share it.

  • "Our Father who art in heaven"
  • You belong to God.
  • He created you and watches over you.
  • He wants you to live with Him in heaven forever.
  • "hallowed be Thy name,"
  • You pray that God will be respected by all
  • "Thy kingdom come,"
  • You pray that God will be loved and worshiped throughout the world
  • "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,"
  • You pray that God's laws will be followed on earth as willingly as they are followed in heaven
  • "Give us this day our daily bread,"
  • You ask for your spiritual and physical needs
  • "and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us,"
  • You ask God forgive your sins you have committed against His laws and promise Him that you will forgive people who cause you harm
  • "and lead us not into temptation,"
  • You ask God to keep you safe from all people and places that may lead you to sin
  • "but deliver us from evil,"
  • You ask God to protect you from both physical and spiritual harm The Lords prayer asks God to grant you peace and when praying the Lords Prayer, you ask for all your spiritual and physical needs.
  • It truly is the perfect prayer and now you see why the Our Father is the best of all prayers.

Too Much Hatred In This World

That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
As I sit and watch television all I seem to see is constant hatred. All I hear about is people killing each other at an underrepresented rate. It always seems to be due to something that happened between people. It just seems as though we have all forgotten what God had said in the Ten Commandments. Read #6 I believe it reads Thou Shalt Not Kill .

Now in the new testament Jesus told us to love one another. You know as I look at facebook and a new article comes up I don't see everyone doing what Jesus taught. I do however see that some people are doing what he said. In fact we just had the terrible act of someone killing innocent policeman. Now as I looked at facebook this morning I saw a video where all kinds of people were hugging some police officers and saying they were sorry. I heard one women tell the officer she was sorry and that she loved them. So there are people out there doing what Jesus taught.

A New Command I Give You
(Romans 12:9-13; 1 John 3:11-24)
31When he therefore was gone out, Jesus said: Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32If God be glorified in him, God also will glorify him in himself; and immediately will he glorify him. 33Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You shall seek me; and as I said to the Jews: Whither I go you cannot come; so I say to you now. 34A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.

What is coming to mind as I watch the horrible news and see all the horrible things happening in the world I believe that Satan is trying to cause as much damage as he can, because he knows Jesus Is Coming Soon and His Time Is Running Short.
The best thing we can do is pray for each other and love one another as Jesus taught.

The Catholic Church And Marriage

What is going on in this world today with so many marriages that just do not last. I believe that people have lost what a marriage is really about. I hear young people all time doing nothing but living together and they are not even married. Now I understand that some people live together because they can not afford to live by themselves. As long as they are not falling into the trap of a sinful life they are doing the right thing in the eyes of God.
Now what I do see quite a bit on television and movies is the promotion of sex before marriage. Yes this seems to be one of the most promoted things in our current society. I must have done something right with my three children, because they do not believe in sex before marriage. They seem to understand the holiness and sanctity of marriage. It seems that they want nothing more to do than please God. I guess I am very blessed even though I don't always see it. I guess that makes me a human being.
Okay so what are we as parents going to do about this terrible situation that is plaguing or society in this day and age. The best thing we can do is keep our children going to Mass regularly and get them as much education as possible. It must start from an early age so they will always remember it. We as parents must be the example in our own marriages and this way our children will teach their children one day.

The Virgin Mary Mother Of God

Seen as today is May 1st I thought I would share something from my past growing up as a child in the Catholic Faith. Every May 1st all the students would gather around the statue of the Virgin Mary. We would all sing various hymns and then we would say so many Hail Mary Prayers. I can remember all the flowers everywhere and all the beautiful colors. It was always a nice warm day and the sun was shining. I am sure some people would drive by the school and think there are those crazy Catholics.
Yes there are those that see us praying before Mary and they automatically assume that we are worshiping Mary just as we worship God. Well nothing could be further from the truth. You see we do not worship Mary, no we honor Mary as she is the Mother Of God. I remember other people saying oh that is another pagan thing they are doing as they go round the may pole. Honestly there was never any may pole and we were never practicing any pagan festival. It is just another one of those things that people misinterpret and then spread untruth.

Are You Going To Be Raised On The Last Day

                                                   John 6
And Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger: and he that believeth in me shall never thirst. 36But I said unto you, that you also have seen me, and you believe not. 37All that the Father giveth to me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will not cast out. 38Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39Now this is the will of the Father who sent me: that of all that he hath given me, I should lose nothing; but should raise it up again in the last day. 40And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day.

The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 54He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. 56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. 58This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever.

How Many Faiths just think the bread and wine are just symbols ?

Very Sad To Hear Of The Passing Of Mother Angelica

Yes I was very sad to hear of the passing of Mother Angelica from EWTN. There were many times through the years that I watched and listened to what she said. There was a great deal to learn from her and I will always remember it.
This is how I will always remember her...giving good advise

Catholic Church And The Protestant Church

Many people from the Catholic Church and the Protestant Church do not really no the difference between the two faiths. I have known many friends over the years and they see things that we Catholics do, but they don't understand. They tend to see with their eyes and then make a judgement on only what they saw. Most of the time they are completely wrong. The next problem is that this incorrect message gets spread around and then nobody knows the truth.

The best advise I can give to anyone is to buy books written by Catholics and truly learn your faith. That way when you come across someone and they say something about the Catholic Church you can give them the correct answer.

Scott Hahn And Philippians

I came across this video of Scott Hahn speaking about Philippians and I thought I would share it. I hope that you enjoy it. I have enjoyed watching him speak over the years on EWTN and on the Journey Home Show. It was listening to him speak about the Eucharist that brought me back home to the Catholic Church. If you are interested in any other video I would check out youtube. If you are interested in any of his books you can search for them below in the Amazon Ads below the post.

The Catholic Church Is The True Church

I have had many friends outside of the Catholic Church that were and are still trying to say that the Catholic Church is evil. They try to bring up all kinds of evidence to prove their claims. The problem is that they almost always have the incorrect information about the Church. That is why you will see some amazon ads at the bottom of the post. I want everyone to read the truth about the church. I am getting very tired of reading all the lies that are spread.

One of the things I have found is that in the Catholic Church contrary to what others say we read the entire bible. We do not pick out only parts of scripture to satisfy our beliefs. Believe me I went through this during my brief time in the Assembly Of God Church as well as some individuals that I have worked with. One of their favorites was oh you Catholics pray to statues and that is idol worshiping or idolatry. Yes I would look at them and correct them by letting them know we were not praying to the statue of Mary for example. No we were only using the statue to remind us of the person and what that person believed.
One of my other favorites was how they always spoke about the Eucharist. They would always make a comment because we believe that the host is Jesus Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Also that the wine was Jesus Blood. They did not understand what Transubstantiation is and therefore misunderstood the whole thing. I remember hearing about it on The Journey Home and how Scott Hahn pointed out to look at the reaction of the Apostles and how they left, because they could not accept it. Also Jesus never corrected or rebuked any of them and said oh this is only a symbol it's not really my Body and Blood.
My feeling is if they really read the whole scripture they would know what Jesus said.

                                           John Chapter 6

Jesus the Bread of Life

26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. 27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. 28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. 30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? 31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. 32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

Many Disciples Turn Away

(Matthew 8:18-22; Luke 9:57-62; Luke 14:25-33)

60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. 65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Peter's Confession of Faith

(Matthew 16:13-20; Mark 8:27-30; Luke 9:18-20)

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. 70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

King James Bible
As you can see from the scripture above you have to ask yourself if you do not eat is flesh and drink his blood will you be raised on the last day.

Catholic Answers To Your Questions

When someone from another faith asks you a question or puts you to the test how are you going to answer them. I know all about this situation, because I have been in it so many times. I will tell you it's not an easy place to be. I remember when I was in the assembly of God church when my wife and I were first married. People would make some comment about the Catholic Church and I would get this feeling in the pit of my stomach like I just wanted to yell and say that is not true, but usually I would keep silent. You see I was a cradle catholic and did a bit of wandering on my journey. I was in the Lutheran Church when my children were young and then finally came back to the Catholic Church.

During my journey I met various people in places I worked at and they always had something to say. Sometimes they made various comments good and bad. The bad ones were always due to them not being told the truth by other people. So what we need to do as Catholics is to learn our faith and not be afraid to answer questions by others. We need to stand up and defend our faith when the time comes up. We do not need to be nasty or rude about it. No we need to listen to the other person and be kind and compassionate with the other person. In other words put yourself in their shoes, you may not know anything about what they believe or have been told.
Okay so where are we supposed to get the help and answers to questions. Well one of my favorite places to find answers on the internet is at Catholic Answers. I also check out EWTN for some answers at various times. The next thing to do is visit your local catholic bookstore or search on Amazon.com for tons of excellent books. There are many different tools that can help in the learning and growing in our Catholic Faith. Other sources of information are various websites on the internet that provide good and correct information on the Catholic Faith. I would also suggest checking out youtube for some good videos on the Catholic Faith. Just make sure they are put out there by Catholics or you will get the wrong information.
Just remember Jesus Said To "Turn The Other Cheek"  and I have done so many times.

Are You Born Again

Jesus Talking To Nicodemus About Being Born Again
Are You Born Again ? Boy there is a question I have heard quite a bit. I remember my time in the assembly of God church and I had many people ask me that question. You see I was brought up Catholic and wandered through my late teenage years not knowing where I was going. I never left the Catholic Church, but kind of slacked off. I met my wife and ended up in the assembly of God church until my eyes were opened and I knew I had to leave there. I have written other posts on this blog about it. Well I finally after a long journey came back to the Catholic Church.
My younger brother is in the assembly of God church and he is forever trying to save us all. Well I was thinking about what to write a post about and I saw a post on facebook about this subject of being born again. I knew I had to write something and share the video I saw. I can not post the video itself due to copyright laws so here is a link to the video https://youtu.be/8ZOt7dbrpOY . I hope that you will watch it and share it on twitter and facebook.
I shared it on facebook and I am sure I will get some response from my brother. I believe if we just took the time to listen we may just learn something and our eyes would be opened to the truth. I always share my blogs on twitter and they go out on facebook. I just pray that someones heart will be opened and they may change the path they are on and bring others with them. The world is becoming more and more a very dark place. That is evident by all of the horrible things that are taking place around the world everyday.
So if you would like to share my Blog I have no problem with that. Be sure to leave a comment if you would like as well.
 Thank You and God Bless.
